Reaming Shells

Description
Reaming shell is mainly made up of steel body, polycrystalline diamond and carbide powder. It is manufactured with high-quality synthetic and natural diamonds which are embedded in a highly resistant matrix. 6" (one pad), 10"(two pads) and 18" (three pads or four pads) and oversize CDG reaming shells in industry standard lengths are available.

Application
1. Reaming shell is mainly used to connect core barrel assembly with diamond drill bit. It is lined with natural or synthetic diamond. It can clean drill holes and keep these holes clean.
2. It can also be used as a stabilizer for drill bit. Excellent technology and high quality make this device capable of protecting diameters of drill bits from damaging.
3. Spiral design is used for the reaming shell. This design has good water passing and powder discharging capacity. And it can be used for drilling in various strata.

Features
1. CDG reaming shells are produced with fully processed natural diamonds. Impregnated type with synthetic diamond is also manufactured.
2. They have additional protection made from friction-resistant tungsten carbide to maximize lifespan.
3. Their maximum active surface helps to limit deviation.
4. Spiral waterway canals are wider than standard design type and as such reduce the potential for blockage by pebbles or other debris.
5. A tapered leading edge is for ease of movement down the drill hole. Placement is near to male thread connection to reduce the possibility of abrasive wash-out between the shoulder of the drill bit body and the gauge ring of reaming shell.
6. The diamond pads are reinforced with tungsten carbide inserts on the leading edge, which reduces the erosion of matrix around the diamonds by forcing the abrasive cuttings up the waterways and not allowing it to travel across the face of the diamond pad.
7. CDG makes the locking coupling with infiltrate tungsten carbide pad for hole stabilization. Other lengths of locking coupling are available on request.
8. Oversized reaming shells are available according to your request.
